"During the summers of 1973 and 1974 limnological surveys were carried out on Buffalo Lake (53°25'N, 99°17'W) and Little Limestone Lake (53°45'N,99°20'W). Because of fisheries problems on Lake Winnipeg and Lake Winnipegosis, possible lake study areas were investigated, with the objective of carrying out stocking experiments. With stocking experiments in mind, water, plankton, benthos and fish sampling were carried out. Depth sounding was also done on Buffalo Lake."-- page i.
