Summary: "The Working Committee of the Fur Advisory Council established a task force at their meeting of December 18th to determine the reasons for the underutilization of registered traplines. The terms of reference for the study were to: 1. Identify the various reasons for less than maximum fur utilization Manitoba. 2. Recommend in detail and with an estimate of cost, practical management program that may lead to increased production and more efficient utilization of the wild fur resource with maximum benefits to trappers. 3. Determine and develop outlines for avenues of research, study or investigation that may be required to provide facts basic to any remedial mesures recommended in the course of the review."
